- 7:30 PM2h~Free~ Jazz@Bucknell Min Xiao-Fen and Rez AbbasiIn 1934, Wu Yonggang's silent film The Goddess was released in China, gaining critical acclaim for its commentary on women's oppression. However, it was later suppressed. Min Xiao-Fen discovered the film years after moving to the U.S. in 1992. Min, who has played the pipa with groups ranging from the Nanjing National Music Orchestra to jazz luminary Randy Weston, composed and recorded the album White Lotus, an original score for The Goddess.
