- Feb 1511:00 AMGospel Fellow at Rooke ChapelThe 2025-26 Rooke Chapel Gospel Music Fellowship offers current master's or doctoral students (and recent graduates) the opportunity to cultivate the Gospel music tradition within a vibrant, multicultural University worship setting. The fellow leads, in collaboration with the Protestant chaplain and director of music, weekend residencies open to students, staff, faculty and the local community through the course of the academic year, which are designed to teach, explore and celebrate Gospel music. Rooke Chapel is pleased to welcome back Rev. Angela Jones as our 2025-2026 Gospel Music Fellow! The Rev. Angela Jones is a Howard University School of Divinity graduate and gospel recording artist who has performed with genre Billboard-charting artists such as Richard Smallwood, Yolanda Adams, Bebe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Brandon Camphor & OneWay, to name a few. Her singing group, Brandon Camphor & One Way, has been nominated for Stellar Awards, has been included on Billboard's top-30 chart four times, and has received three Wammie Awards. Jones currently serves as minister of worship arts at Word For Life Church Ministries in Maryland. In 2024-25 Rev. Bucknell Choir: David Lang's before and after nature (Contemporary Classical/Choral)With adventurous programs, it commissions new composers, performs, presents and records new work, develops new audiences and educates the musicians of the future. At the Weis Center, the ensemble will perform David Lang's before and after nature, which is based on The End of Nature by Bill McKibben and After Nature by Jedidiah Purdy. Both books discuss humanity's relationship to nature. The performance will feature the Bucknell Choir under the direction of Professor Caleb Hopkins and Bang on a Can All-Stars will provide instrumental support.

He is the author of the novel Blessings, shortlisted for the Wilbur Smith Prize and translated into multiple languages. He is a graduate of the Creative Writing program at Washington University in St. Louis.Clarence Harlan Orsi (he/him/his) is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English in the Creative Writing Program. His essays and fiction have appeared in The Believer, Boston Review, Chicago Review, Indiana Review, Kenyon Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, New England Review, n+1, and others. He is a graduate of the PhD program in creative writing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a former Bread Loaf tuition scholar.
