Nick DeMarchis '22, Software Engineer 2 at SeatGeek, will return to campus to share his insights about moving to NYC, including real estate recommendations from his partner, who works in the field. A light lunch will be provided. Co-sponsored by Alumni Career Services and Student & Recent Alumni Programs in University Advancement.

Lab to Life: A Research Scientist's Journey in Pharma
"Join the CCA, and the student chapters of American Chemistry Society (ACS) and American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) in welcoming Dennis Murphy '80, Ph.D, back to Bucknell as he shares his career journey - from labs in Olin Science to his work at GSK and Merck Research Labs. Lunch provided; Registration appreciated for food count. Dennis Murphy, Ph.D., is a seasoned research scientist with expertise in biochemistry, enzyme kinetics, and biophysical techniques. He has worked in all phases of drug development—from lead identification and optimization to formulation and regulatory filing—and still works at the lab bench, designing and running experiments. He holds a B.A. in Biology and B.A. in Chemistry from Bucknell, a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and completed an NIH Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Enzymology at Penn State University. In addition to his industry contributions, Dennis serves as a Career Consultant for the American Chemical Society, mentoring aspiring and established scientists in their professional journeys."
