Bucknell Earns High Marks from ‘U.S. News & World Report’ Rankings
Bucknell University climbed seven spots from last year to be ranked among the top 30 schools in the category of National Liberal Arts Colleges, finishing tied for 30th, in the new U.S. News & World Report 2024 Best Colleges rankings, published today.
Additionally, Bucknell ranked fifth among Most Innovative Schools - National Liberal Arts Colleges, seventh among Best Undergraduate Engineering - Non-Doctorate — ranking third in Mechanical Engineering, third in Civil Engineering, fourth in Electrical/Electronic/Communications Engineering, and fifth in Computer Engineering — and 15th in First-year Experiences.
Bucknell also cracked the top 30 in the categories of Learning Communities (24), Senior Capstone (26), and Undergraduate Teaching - National Liberal Arts Colleges (29) in the new rankings.
The 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings were calculated using 13 indicators for the national liberal arts colleges, regional universities and regional colleges. Each school's ranking factors were calculated and compared with the mean and standard deviation values of other schools to create a normalized score. Then, these normalized scores were weighted and summed to arrive at each school's final overall score.
Information presented in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings was collected during the spring and summer of 2023 via U.S. News' annual online statistical survey of colleges.
